Courses in Progress
Fall 2017
LIS 636
Media Productions Services for Library Programs Professor Daniel Martin Media Productions Services is one of the courses accepted for the technology component of the UNCG MLIS curriculum as it expands on the increasing need for librarians to have the ability and skills necessary to use various technology services. During the course, different technology aspects such as infographics, digital photography, photo editing software, gamification, and other technology knowledge was introduced and explored. The course was not a how-to course like other technology courses offered but rather focused on the evaluation and determining which technology service was the best for its purpose. |

LIS 698: Capstone
Dr. Julia Hersberger The Capstone course to wrap up the experience of the UNC-G's MLIS program, with the revision and completion of the Capstone project, starting in LIS 600 Foundations of Librarian and Information Studies. The Capstone is a portfolio of completed assignments, personal reflections on varying components of librarianship and the LIS field. It also provides a web presence for the professional development of each student, giving future employers examples of work and experience gained from the MLIS program. The Capstone demonstrates eight Student Learning Outcomes, assigned by the LIS department with requirements to reflect and show artifacts displaying the use of skills and experiences used in each SLO. |
